We collect information you provide directly, such as your name, email, login details, resume content, career history, job descriptions, and any files or text you submit to the service.

We also collect technical and usage information, including device, browser, IP-related metadata, pages visited, interactions, and approximate diagnostics needed to operate and improve CVTail.

2. How we use your data

  • To create and secure your account and login session.
  • To generate, tailor, analyze, and store resumes and related content.
  • To process subscriptions, billing events, and account entitlements.
  • To monitor performance, reliability, abuse prevention, and product quality.
  • To communicate about support, legal, billing, and service updates.

3. Cookies, analytics, and tracking

CVTail may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure usage, and understand product performance.

We may use analytics tools including PostHog and Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand traffic, feature usage, conversion events, and product quality trends.

4. Third-party services and processors

We work with third-party providers to run CVTail. Depending on the feature used, your data may be processed by services such as Supabase for database and authentication-related infrastructure, Stripe for billing and subscription management, OpenAI and other AI providers for AI generation and analysis, PostHog for product analytics, Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for website analytics, and Sentry for error monitoring and diagnostics.

These providers process data only as needed to deliver their part of the service.

5. Resume and CV storage

CVTail stores resumes, CV drafts, structured profile data, and related job application content so you can access and manage them inside your account.

We retain this information while your account remains active, subject to operational, legal, backup, and fraud-prevention needs.

6. Your choices

You can request account or data-related help by contacting support. Where available, you may also update or remove content directly from your account.
